Performs a variety of food service tasks in support of the hospital food service program. Works under moderate supervision primarily in the following areas: Cafeteria, main kitchen and patient tray line. The incumbent will be expected to adhere to establish guidelines in regard to hospital, sanitation, safety and cash handling controls. This position supports the dishroom.
General Summary of Position Responsibility:
Supports the Food Service Department by controlling the quality and timing of all hot and/or cold foods. Works closely with the Production Team Leader to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary operations of the hot and/or cold production areas.

To provide front-line Supervision to Security Officer teams, support the mission of the Security Services Department in providing a secure and safe environment that allows patients, visitors, personnel and volunteers to deliver or receive quality patient care with minimal threats against their personal well-being and property, and to support Lurie Children’s Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service Goals.
The primary purpose of the shuttle service is to provide safe, frequent, convenient transportation for our customers to and from various entities and properties of the Hospital.
