The Supervisor – Supply Chain Operations and Logistics has direct oversite over the in-patient staff. Operationally leads a team/shift. Ensures team is onsite on-time & executes all responsible tasks. Delegates all duties to staff and hold the team accountable for their performance. Ensures all inventory activities (receipts, issues and other transactions) are processed in a timely manner. Provides operational support to leadership in the form of tactical activities initiatives. Responsible for resources all holidays, vacation & call offs either with staff or taking the shift directly.
Under the direction of the Manager of Supply Chain Inventory & Demand Planning, the Supply Chain Optimization Analyst is responsible for providing fact-based, predictive analysis to improve performance across Lurie Children’s supply chain network. This includes the use of reports, dashboards & ad-hoc statistical analyses to ensure optimal inventory targets, minimize stockouts and eliminate obsolescence. The Supply Chain Optimization Analyst is responsible for periodic meetings with assigned nursing managers to validate data & ensure alignment on items stocked. They will also be responsible for assisting with project implementation as related to the organization’s supply chain initiatives.
Performs the daily logistics work activities which include inventory management, receiving, picking, distribution, and shipping to various patient care and administrative areas. This position is accountable for inventory management accuracy from the line items received, to the items placed on the shelf in both the central supply and perioperative storeroom, to the distribution of product to patient and adminsitrative floors and the reverse logistics of credits and returns. Because of the high visibility, customer service is critical to meet the customers requirements and daily demand within the hosptial. It is imperative that the employee is personally accountable and can work in self-managed teams by adhering to the hospital and departmental policies. Finally, this position is expected to be capable of utilizing the various technology applications/software, provide first-step resolution to open issues, elevate opportunities for improvement to a supervisor, work within a team environment, and have excellent communication skills.
Coordinates the non-clinical functions of the unit and performs clerical duties utilizing resources available. Actively supports the Hospital�s and the department�s quality goals and service excellence principles.
