  • Overview

    This position provides thoughtful and strategic direction as the Donor Relations team handles four primary areas of programming critical to deepening lifelong donor relationships: acknowledgment, recognition, stewardship, and accountability. This position focuses attention on strategic stewardship and correspondence programs, working closely with Prospect Managers and leadership throughout the Foundation, as well as staff throughout the medical center.

    Responsibilities

    1. Manages Stewardship Reporting Calendar process and Endowed Fund Reporting project. Works with Communications and Major Gifts teams to ensure timely production of reports and fulfillment of stewardship obligations to donors. Ensures timely reporting and tracking in Raiser’s Edge.
    2.  Partners in creation of new donor loyalty and retention programs, including but not limited to milestone giving program and tiered giving societies. Works with Annual Giving and Major Gifts teams to ensure strategic implementation of these programs through execution of benefits and retention/upgrade reporting.
    3.  Creates acknowledgment letters and other messages as needed from hospital leadership. Includes oversight of year-end holiday communication. Drafts and edits language as necessary, obtains appropriate approvals from authors and prospect managers, and provides clear, accurate, and timely database reporting in Raiser’s Edge.
    4. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence, and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
    5. Supports Friends of the Foundation and other Donor Relations activities and initiatives as needed.

     

     

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
    2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in development, preferably in a healthcare or higher education setting and/or in Stewardship or Donor Relations.
    3. Discretion with confidential materials required.
    4. Exceptional written communication and editing skills required.
    5. Prior experience and proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or other similar software required.
    6. Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment required.
    7. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as creativity and resourcefulness.
    8. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under demanding deadlines are essential.
