  • Overview

    Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, this position will assist in managing multiple activities and cross- disciplinary projects across the institute by coordinating activities consistent with strategic objectives to ensure efficiencies, growth and long term sustainability of the institute. Accounts for programmatic and project support including organizational, needs-assessment and resource recommendations. 

    Responsibilities

    1. Working with the Chief Operating Officer, coordinates, organizes and manages multiple strategic initiatives including communicating progress, financial effect and obstacles. Collaborates with all direct reports of the Chief Operating Officer and acts as a solution driven liaison to ensure timely completion of projects assigned.
    2. Assists in developing strategic plans, reports, graphs/charts, statistical and financial models and analysis to ensure operational efficacy. Assists with the preparation, short-term and long-range goals and budgets based on broad research enterprise goals and growth objectives. 
    3. Provides project planning support for the Chief Operating Officer including overall project management of assigned projects, from initiation through final completion and transition for sustainability of outcomes.
    4. Develops, executes and manages detailed project/work plans, schedules, project estimates for resource requirements and status reports. Maintain accurate project plans to ensure timely completion of activities as designed, modifying with collaboration of project leadership timelines and expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
    5. Establishes operating policies consistent with the Chief Operating Officer’s broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution. Evaluates current processes, procedures and standards to streamline and improve as necessary.
    6. The authority to hire, separate, promote, demote, write and administer performance evaluations.
    7. Other job functions as assigned.

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Demonstrated experience in managing complex enterprise intra/interdepartmental projects
    3. Demonstrated working experience with computer-based project management systems, databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
    4. Excellent project management, organizational skills and developing change management skills. Able to organize and manage a project from initiation to implementation.
    5. Ability to work effectively with multiple levels of organizational staff from front line to senior leaders.
    6. Excellent analytical and process/systems thinking skills; excellent problem-solving skills.
    7. Strong communication and organizational skills.
    8. Ability to work independently managing multiple projects simultaneously.
