  • Overview

    The Communications Specialist: Video Production is a storyteller with a passion for all aspects of video production. Works with Creative Services Team as lead video editor and production assistant, helping to support the hospital’s marketing and philanthropic initiatives.


    1. Works alongside Creative Director and Senior Video Producer to produce compelling, branded video content for our core audiences.
    2. Serve as lead editor.
    3. Help conceptualize and edit video content that aligns with the hospital’s brand, tone and strategic objectives.
    4. Digital asset management for all video footage, consent forms; and serve as primary liaison for external requests.
    5. Assist with production needs, including 2nd camera operator and production assistant.
    6. Helps create a branded, consistent look across multiple. Conceptualize and iterate on creative editing and stylized approaches.
    7. Assist with pre-production planning activities, prepping equipment, as needed.
    8. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.


    1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Film, Digital Media, English, Marketing, Journalism or related field required.
    2. Minimum three years experience in video production.
    3. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and experience editing in Premiere Pro;
    4. Experience using Adobe After Effects and digital animation software a plus.
    5. Strong story-telling ability and instincts.
    6. Ability to edit a single piece of content for multipe audiences and/or digital channels.
    7. Knowledge of professional video production procedures, best practices and techniques.
    8. Familiarity with professional and prosumer cameras.
    9. Experience managing on-camera talent and conducting interviews.
    10. Ability to work independently in a fast and deadline-oriented team environment required.
    11. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and a sense of humor.
