Directs and manages the business operations of Almost Home Kids. Advises President and Board on financial issues, and assures compliance of restricted grants.
Manages Director of Operations and has oversight for business operations and facility initiatives.
Review all facility agreements and work with Director of Contracting on executing same.
Pre-audits all financials for Almost Home Kids and ensures that appropriate cost centers and general ledger codes have been reflected.
Prepare financial reports and hold monthly internal financial staff meeting and quarterly department head review of actuals versus budget variances.
Coordinates bi-weekly payroll for facility employees.
Works with facility management and staff in preparation of annual budget.
Responsible for forecasting and developing pro-forma for future AHK sites.
Ensures that all grant funds are in compliance with project and that matching funds are properly allocated.
Assists in preparation of grant applications.
Addresses inquiries of various Almost Home Kids staff and Board members as well as County and State representatives.
Reconciles facility bank accounts.
Prepares facility service invoices.
Negotiates patient stay agreements with insurance and other 3rd party providers as well as insurance vendor agreements with commercial insurance carriers.
Interact with State funding agencies on subjects related to billings and collections.
Assists LCH Finance Department with necessary documentation for annual audits by external auditors.
Responsible for monthly reporting in LCH’s Kaufman Hall system.
Reviews vendor invoices and proposals.
Participate in Facility fundraising events.
Reviews capital project expenditures.
Prepares, submits and tracks invoices on behalf of the facility.
Serves as financial staff support to facility’s Board of Directors.
Duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and MBA required. CPA preferred.
8+ years relevant work experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to take initiative by identifying problems, conceptualizing solutions and implementing change.
