Provides day to day leadership to assigned teams. Facilitates, promotes and models a leadership philosophy and style which drives the vision of Lurie Children's. Responsible for staff supervision in a functional area. Works within budgets established by director and utilizes resources to maximize productivity, performance and profitability. Collaborates closely with other Rehabilitation Division managers to coordinate day-to-day activities. Facilitates the operation and growth of the team and team members through clinical mentoring. The effective facilitation of the team members will include the encouragement, growth, education and identification of strengths and weaknesses of each member or the team. Understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care the needs of pediatric, adolescent and adult patients in regards to their growth and development process.
Customer Service/Patient Satisfaction
Addresses customer concerns in a rapid and efficient manner and ensures a satisfactory outcome. Focuses on and meets both external and internal customer needs. Supports education/outcomes coordinator and director in outcomes initiatives and customer satisfaction.
Human Resource Management
Facilitates team process for assigned functional area. Completes and presents PAs for staff within assigned area. Efficiently and effectively manages assigned orientation activities. Provides one on one coaching and counseling of employees within assigned area. Assists individuals in identifying professional goals and provides opportunities to meet those goals. Supports education/outcomes coordinator in coordinating orientation and annual education for staff.
Provides leadership, direction, and coordination of all activities assigned in a manner which promotes maximum service to all our customers. Effectively leads and manages daily staff resources within assigned area. Monitors patient care needs based on volume to match staffing resources appropriately. Assists with interview process, making recommendations to Director re: hiring. Guides, directs, motivates and influences others while embracing change as a permanent aspect of doing business in health care. Upgrades own knowledge base through continuing education and literature review. Participates actively in team, departmental and cluster in services and meetings.
